The goal of Grameenfriends through the healthcare and rural e-commerce intervention is to enhance the income generating capacity of rural women by creating opportunities for generating income.
Under this initiative, the selected women act as field level health worker who is sales representatives in selling a diversity of products such as health device, consumer goods, food products etc to rural buyers.

Grameenfriends Community Health care encompasses preventive, primitive and curative health services. This health project aims to provide basic healthcare services to the extremely vulnerable groups for sub-urban and rural areas of Bangladesh. Primary health issues are not addressed effectively within Bangladesh and this having impacts economic development within the country. Communicable and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) are major causes of mortality within Bangladesh. Highest causes of morality include: diarrhea, pneumonia, ARI (Acute Respiratory Illness) other respiratory diseases and Protein Emergency Malnutrition (PEM). That why Grameenfriends planned to implement Healthcare project with a view to improve the health conditions of the poor and ultra-poor within the communities whilst providing high-quality primary health services with lower and reasonable cost.

Grameenfriends rural e-commerce business is the buying and selling of goods and services in the ‘door to door’ and also using by Grameenfriends apps which is online shopping. These business transactions occur either as business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C).

Community shops become the hub of their community by virtue of their long hours, their usually central location, the fact that they are open to all the community and are able to host a wide range of services, such as groceries products and daily needs product selling, Telemedicine, Mobile money remittance and talktime services, Electricity/Utilities bill payment and etc.
